Items tell people's stories by acting as physical reminders of their lives, identities, and experiences. A single object can hold deep personal meaning, such as a family heirloom passed down through generations, which carries memories, relationships, and traditions.
​
Everyday items like vintage rings, a journal, or a worn
out backpack can mark important moments, representing specific times and emotions in someone's life. The objects people choose to surround themselves with books, clothing, art; also reflect their personality, values, and how they wish to be seen by others. Even the wear and age of an object tell a story of use, transformation, and growth, silently documenting how a person has lived, changed, and interacted with the world. In this way, items become storytellers, preserving pieces of people’s lives long after the moments have passed.

Who the is...Zoey Ryan?
Zoey Ryan is one of those cool dudes you see walking down the street, or smooshed up into a
pixel gif... You'll find her scurrying to a local Ellensburg music shows at Old Skools, or
hunched over her 13" iMac that takes longer to
load than rewinding a VHS.
Zoey loves connecting to her old soul,
she loves old lamps, physical music media,
and vintage mall shopping.
None-the-less, Zoey is always ready and

Why do I design?
To create an experience for another human being visually through graphic design is one of my greatest honors.
I design for the human experience
and creating art is one of my
first passions.
I started to design my senior year of high school, during my experience getting my AFA (Associates in Fine Arts)
at Green River Community College. Amongst my time finishing my AFA
and gaining new experiences in
design, I was Junior Graphic Design Intern at Instinct Design Co.
in Enumclaw, Washington!
I then transferred to Central Washington University where
I received my BFA in Graphic
Design and a minor in Art history.
Alongside getting my BFA, I
was the Creative Director of
PULSE Magazine 2024-2025,
amongst taking on freelance work
and starting my student-employment/ internship at Auxiliary Enterprises.
