Consume Zine (Overconsumption of Technology)
In my second level typography class, we were tasked to make experimental type zines about any ongoing issue in the world.
For me, I experience a lot of struggles with the overconsumption of technology. So I chose to create a zine on this topic. I went into this zine with a
general theme and layout and went completely experimental with it. All of the spreads I created were on a whim. Most often, I plan my Zines with a strong flat plan and overarching goal. However, with this zine I wanted to have fun. I kept a consistent color palette and cycled the same few fonts I was using to be cohesive.
This was definitely one of my favorite projects I
made in college!
AMP
Associated Music Press was born out of a simple idea: music deserves a home that’s as loud, raw, and alive as the artists who make it. Starting with a Photographer/ Musician, Brenden Fuller and an Artist/ Graphic Designer Zoey Ryan, AMP is a DIY-driven music magazine dedicated to amplifying the voices shaping the underground and emerging sound today.
What started as a passion project, late-night conversations, traded demos, half-scribbled notes in crowded venues, has grown into a platform committed to documenting the stories that often slip through the cracks. AMP exists to celebrate the bands you discover in basements, the musicians reinventing genres on their laptops, and the communities that rise up around shared noise.
This inaugural zine marks the first physical artifact of that mission: a hand-crafted snapshot of the music that moves us right now. Within these pages you’ll find an interview, features, photography, and reflections from across the sonic spectrum; each piece driven by curiosity, care, and a deep love for music culture. Whether you’re a musician, a fan, or someone who just believes in the power of creative expression, AMP is here to turn up the volume. This is only the beginning.
